Stay at Dunk Island: Beachfront Eco Tents and Bayside Campsites
Beachfront Eco Tents – Nature, Comfortably
Available from Wednesday to Sunday, the Beachfront Eco Tents on Dunk Island offer a unique blend of comfort and natural immersion. These tents are perfect for those who love the outdoors but also appreciate the comfort of a proper bed. Nestled within the island's natural landscape, the tents provide a relaxed base for your island adventures. You can wake up to the sound of birds and fall asleep to the gentle waves of the sea. The tents offer simple luxuries like space, shade, and fresh air.
Staying in an Eco Tent includes access to shared island amenities and is ideal for couples, friends, or families seeking a special, low-impact stay. With limited numbers, the atmosphere remains calm and intimate. The Eco Tents require a minimum stay of 2 nights and a maximum of 4 nights, available in three configurations:
- Twin Single: Ideal for traveling friends.
- Twin Queen: Designed for families, featuring two queen beds.
- King: Perfect for a romantic retreat or solo travelers.
Each tent includes crisp linen and towels, a charging dock with a power outlet, a lantern, a fan, and an esky with ice. Note that the tents are not air-conditioned, which may be a consideration for those sensitive to heat, especially from November to May. Bathroom facilities are available at a nearby amenities block.
Campsites – Back to Basics
Available all week, the Bayside Campsites on Dunk Island offer a classic coastal camping experience. These sites are close to the water and surrounded by tropical greenery, making them ideal for confident campers who enjoy traveling light and living outdoors. Campsite guests have access to shared amenities, picnic areas, and other island facilities, allowing for long days of swimming, walking, and wildlife spotting.
The campsites are popular with locals and returning visitors who appreciate the simplicity that Dunk Island offers. There are six campsites available, each accommodating up to six people. While there is no minimum stay requirement, the maximum stay is limited to 4 nights due to the limited number of sites.
